On Saturday March 5, 2005, the St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department held their annual awards banquet at the Calvert County Fairgrounds.   The evening began with cocktails at 5:00pm, dinner at 6:00pm and the awards being presented at 7:00pm.  A thank you to the Banquet Committee and those that helped plan and set up for the event.  A special thanks to Prince Frederick VFD, Huntingtown VFD, and Prince Frederick VRS for filling in for us so we could enjoy our evening.

2004 Accomplishments:

1st runner up for MSFA Zembower Training Award with 5061 training hours.

Received MIEMSS Seal of Excellence for our: Squad, Ambulance 78, and Ambulance 79

Six (6) members received Emergency Medical Technician certification and eleven (11) members received Firefighter certification.  This brings the departments totals to:     11 First Responders,    52 EMT-B,    2 EMT-I,    2 Paramedics,    and 63 Firefighters

Completed 15,715 collateral duty hours

Performed 5,486 fund raising hours

Purchased the property adjacent to the firehouse

Received funding for new rescue boat

Acquired fifteen (15) new members in 2004 bringing the total membership to 114 members and 4 junior members
