Brush Fire Season's Underway

March 15, 2005 - At 1442 hours, Stations 3 and 7 were dispatched to Camp Canoy Road for a brush fire.  Brush 3 arrived to find a working brush fire which had started by workers using a cutting torch to dismantle a truck.  The torch led the leaves to catch on fire and winds blowing at a steady rate caused the fire to spread.  BX-7 and Jeep 7 arrived on location extinguishing the fire from the rear to prevent spreading.  Company 7 units returned to service at 1517 hours.
