One Into a Tree with Entrapment

September 3, 2005 -  At 2303 hours, Station 7 was dispatched to Ball Road in the area of Broomes Island Road for an auto accident.  Squad 7 arrived on location to find a single vehicle into a tree with another tree on top of the vehicle and an unknown amount of subjects trapped.   Squad 7's crew went to work on removing the tree from the top of the vehicle while also removing the driver's side door.  Once the tree was removed, it was known that there were two occupants both trapped.  The Squad crew then went to work on removing the front and rear door on the passenger's side of the vehicle as well as the entire "B" post.  The crew then performed a dash push to free the passenger.  Both patients were extricated from the vehicle in under 15 minutes and loaded on to Ambulance 78 and 79 and transported to the landing site handled by Squad 2.  Both patients were transported to PG Shock Trauma Center via MSP Trooper 7.  The Squad and Engine remained on the scene until the vehicle was removed and the roadway was clear.  All units returned to service at 0007 hours.
